The second lecture was “The Improvement and Cost Reduction of The Thermal Balance System of The Mold”. The speaker was Zhenchun Sha, Director/ Vice President/ Technical Director of Ningde Wenda Magnesium Aluminum Technology Co., Ltd. Mr. Sha first introduced the importance of mold cost and the crucial significance of temperature in mold production. He indicated that the thermal balance processing technology of the mold innovatively divides the mold core into two parts, the upper part is the location of products, using Swiss 8418, while the lower part is the location of water transport and padding, using common materials H13 which reduce the manufacturing cost by 70%. On the technical level, diffusion welding solves the problem of a single route of water transport and achieves better thermal balance. Then, he shared the diffusion welding of mold manufacturing in the new technology process. At a certain temperature, metal atoms are diffused between plates to form a whole, improving product quality and reducing cost.
